What is motive? Motives are our innermost reasons for doing what we do at our most raw and basic level. They explain why we think and behave as we do. They are the driving force behind our personality color.

There are four driving motives. Some people wonder why only four categories. We have yet to find someone who is motivated by something other than POWER, INTIMACY, PEACE, OR FUN.

POWER – (RED) – “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all” – Helen Keller – Red’s have the most dominate, intimidating personality. Expressing themselves emotionally is uncomfortable and creates the vulnerability they typically avoid. Red’s are visionary and can be demanding and critical. Red’s don’t fail and are known for getting jobs done.

INTIMACY – (BLUE) – Blues are often the most admired of the personalities. They represent so many of the virtues we aspire to, such as honest, empathy, self-sacrifice, loyalty, sincerity, and self – discipline. The resemble a lightened beacon of goodness and truth. They also are highly opinionated and tough competitors for any personality to face because they generally base all opinions on emotion and moral principle.

PEACE – (WHITE) – Whites offer us all a model for gentle human dignity. They sincerely believe in the value of diplomacy, and diligently seek to promote cooperation at all cost. Whites are usually difficult to get to know and find it difficult to grow. Whites are often timid and shy, which keeps them from living life to the fullest.

FUN – (YELLOW) – Happy is as happy does. Yellow people love themselves because they know exactly what they love to do and always find the time and resources to do it. Yellow’s love life. They are spirited, exciting, and have an innate ability to be happy. Fate often smiles on them and they are considered to be very lucky. Yellow’s start more project then any of the other groups but successfully complete the fewest, due to their lack of commitment.
